Employment Law
Wrongful termination and Workers’ Compensation claims
Employees cannot be wrongfully discharged from their job for filing a claim for being hurt on the job or for hiring an attorney to help with a claim. Additionally, if the work injury results in disability, the employee is protected by the federal American Disabilities Act. If you have been wrongfully terminated from your job for filing a Workers’ Compensation claim or if you have been refused to return to your job because of a disability, you may be entitled to damages.
Wrongful termination and discrimination
Employers are prohibited by state and federal laws from discriminating against employees who are members of a “protected class”. A protected class can include race, age, disability, gender, sex and sexual orientation. If you have been wrongfully terminated, discriminated against or have suffered retaliation in the workplace, we can help. You may be entitled to damages for the actions you have suffered.
